Biography

Vincent Díaz Negrón (Mr-z) was born on September 21, 1981 in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. From a very young age he has had a vocation in the Fine Arts. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It was there that he began to acquire a concentration in painting and multidisciplinary studies in “Graphic Arts”, Computerized Digital Design” and “Industrial Design”. He has stood out as an urban artist in the local and international art circuit. He has won recognition for his very particular and individual style. He has participated in collective and individual exhibitions in galleries in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Some of them were presented internationally in Denver, Mexico, Argentina and Spain.

His work is quite graphic, ranging from dots and fine lines. He creates surreal characters and environments. In his works, you will clearly notice his inspiration for the symbolic images created by various ancient civilizations and nature among other themes.
